Menna Lloyd Jones - Biography

After a varied career mainly working in Community Hospitals and the community as both a registered nurse and midwife, Menna was appointed as a Clinical Nurse Advisor to the then DNS of Gwynedd Community Health Trust in 1992.

Following reconfiguration in 1999 Menna was appointed as Senior Nurse Tissue Viability for North West Wales and subsequently the newly formed Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.  During that time, she worked across both primary and secondary care. North West Wales is a large geographical, sparsely rural area, with interesting challenges.

In 2011 Menna retired from the NHS and currently works as an Independent writer. She is also researching the history of the hospitals in the old county of Merionethshire.

Menna is also a Joint Consultant Editor of The British Journal of Healthcare Assistants.
